We still need proctors for the May 23-25 End of Grade (EOG) exams. If you can assist us any of those mornings from 9am to noon, please contact Cathy Hayes at the main office.

Please note that the Letter of Intent form confirming your enrollment plans for next year was to be returned to the office last Friday. Any CIS family who has not given us this written confirmation of your plans for 2006-7 by June 7^th will be considered Not Returning and your place will be filled from the wait list.

We’re nearing the end of registration for hole sponsorships for our 2^nd Annual Charity Golf Tournament, June 4^th, at Skybrook Golf Club. We’ve had a great response! Individual golfers are encouraged to turn in your registration forms. Non-golfers who want to attend the awards dinner, catered by Carrabbas’s, need to return their RSVP. You can purchase raffle tickets that night for some terrific prizes that were donated to the school.

If you are willing to make a dessert for Golf Tournament please contact Kim Houck at khouck@carolina.rr.com or 704-575-7154. We need 16 volunteers to make one dessert, an easy way to support CIS.

You have until Thursday to purchase high quality Egyptian cotton sheet sets for incredibly low, low prices! How low? Here is an example—400 Thread Count, King sets that retail for $229 are only $75! Order forms and samples are available in the office.

Cathy Hayes will collect order forms in the office until May 11^th. Then on Friday, May 12^th, you can pick up your order and pay by check, debit, or credit card here at the school, from 8:30am-5pm. If you can volunteer to assist Mrs. Amarnath with processing the orders on May 10 and 11, please call her at 704-281-6785.

vYear-End Gala, Saturday, June 10^th, 7-9pm, Belk Theatre at the Blumenthal Performing Arts Center. We will conclude our school year at the premier performance venue in the Charlotte region. Join us for the celebration of our school year and a vision of the bright future of CIS.

PARENTS ORGANIZATION NEWS

As the year winds down, I want to make sure all parents who have volunteered their time and effort—not to mention money—have been THANKED!!!

At our June 1^st meeting we will have refreshments and acknowledgements for all of you that have made this school year a success. We (the executive team) will be mailing out a copy of the PTSO BY-LAWS for review and the minutes from our last meeting so that you all will be aware of what is going on. We will be voting on the BY-LAWS on June 1^st, so please plan to attend so that your vote/voice can be heard.

I will also be working with Mrs. Amarnath over the next few days to make sure that all the orders are in for our Sheet Sale, and making sure you all get your orders to take home on Friday. Don’t forget to order a set for yourself. These prices are out of this world, and we do get a percentage of the profit for our school. This will be an ongoing sale, however if you want them in time for Mother’s Day you have to have the order sheets in by Thursday 5/11/06. Thanks for your support.

Don’t forget to put 6/1/06 at 6:30pm on your calendars. We are going to have a good time and some good food. Thanks again for all you folks do to support our awesome school.
