Winter Bazaar Volunteer Opportunities Still Available for December 9th 2006
I would like to thank all the parents/guardians, students and teachers that have already volunteered to help out with this event. I know it is very close to the holidays and everyone is extremely busy. However, I do want to encourage the entire CIS community to attend the event. This will be a fun event for the students with games and prizes as well as a fund raising event. We have a lot of great baskets in our silent auction from area businesses and each class. In addition, we have vendors selling products such as great quality sheets and duvet covers, homemade jewelry and lanyards, hand crafted wood products, entertaining items, art work, handmade soap and candles, gourmet food items and large market baskets.
Set Up – 8 volunteers needed to set up the event from 7:00am – 9:00am.
Clean Up – 5 volunteers needed to clean up after the event from 2:00pm – 3:00pm.
Silent Auction Baskets Needed – Items are still needed for our silent auction. We are asking parents to check with their employer, family, friends, favorite restaurant or store for items to auction. Also, if you have any new items at home that you would like to donate, they would be appreciated.
Games – Room parents are gathering volunteers to help man the games from 9:00am -12:00pm. I am looking for additional volunteers to help man other game sites.
Marketing – 2 volunteers needed to help distribute Flyers to area business and send Press Releases to the Media.
Craft/Vendor Tables Available – Tables are still available for a $25.00 booth fee.
Admission Table – 2 volunteers are needed to help the welcoming committee cover the admission table.
Prize Redemption Booth – 5 volunteers are needed to help man the prize redemption booth.
Ticket Booth – 3 volunteers are needed to help man the ticket tables.
Cake Walk Donations – Do you love to bake? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you! We are looking for 15 more items to be donated for our cake walk. Suggested Items include but are not limited to a whole cake, a half of a cake, a whole pie, a dozen of cookies, six cup cakes or six large brownies or other items in quantities of six or twelve.
We need your help, please! The funds raised at this event will go towards bring a Junior Achievement Program back to the school in January, buy a binding machine for the staff, purchase additional educational materials for our teachers, provide scholarships for our students and bring cultural assemblies to our school. Contact Beth via email, thompsonpeaceb@ciscomets.org or by phone at 704-455-3847 ext 5543 to sign up to volunteer today! Thank you! J Thank you! J Thank you! J

PE Uniform Price Increase
As of December 11, 2006, all PE uniform items will reflect an increase of $.50 per item. This is to help defray some of the shipping costs. In addition, the long sleeve Polo Shirts will increase in price by $1.00. In order to get the items before the price increase, please submit your order before December 10th. Thank you for your understanding, Charlotte Halperin.
